PTO Fundraising

Part of our PTO’s mission is to provide additional funding for Sunset Elementary. Each year, the PTO carefully determines its fundraising methods and goals based on feedback from previous experiences and input from parents and the school administration. We work with the principal and the school’s faculty and staff to determine the students’ needs each year and allocate funding based on their requests, recommendations, and the principle that our PTO works for the benefit of all children at Sunset Elementary. Click here for a list of recent purchases. 

 

This year, our largest fundraiser will be the Invest In Your Child (IIYC) campaign in the fall and the Fun Run in the spring. We also host events when possible (i.e., Golf Tournament, and participate in retail programs (i.e. BoxTops for Education, Publix Partners, Kroger Community Rewards, Coca-Cola Gives) that raise funds. Based on parent feedback, we have decided to NOT use programs that have students selling wrapping paper, magazines, food, coupon books, etc.
