Dear Sunset Families,

Invest in your Stallion (IIYS) is our PTO’s annual giving campaign that raises money to help fund instructional and enrichment programs at Sunset Elementary. It also is critical for campus improvements.

For this school year, the suggested per family donation will remain the same as last year at $200, and our goal is to raise $45,000. All donations, regardless of amount, will help us meet our goal. All donations go 100 percent to Sunset Elementary and is an investment in your child and our community.

The majority of funds (89%) given to our school by the County and the state of Tennessee are used to pay for teacher and staff salaries. The balance of those funds are what the school uses to provide what is needed for academic success for our students. The PTO's fundraising efforts support the school with additional educational enrichment needs as well as campus improvements. The County does not provide full-service updates to our 20-year-old building and grounds; that is left to the parents to fundraise and continue to improve our campus.  

• The easiest way is to donate online.
• Donating by Check with your Invest Card – student’s turn them in to their teacher. Send checks payable to “Sunset Elementary PTO” and Memo Note “INVEST- Child’s First & Last Name”
• Having your company match your gift! Ask your employer if your company participates in the matching gifts program.
• Inviting a grandparent, relative or friend to donate to the INVEST campaign.
• Your contribution to Sunset Elementary PTO is fully tax deductible. Our Tax ID: 70494464

Sunset Elementary PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations to our Invest In Your Stallion campaign are tax-deductible and are greatly appreciated. Many employers offer matching donations, including the following companies:
